Rewind to 1994 when the incredible history of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham began in the little Tamil Nadu village of Ettimadai, tucked away at the foot of the Bouluvanpatty ranges. With just 120 students and 13 faculty members, this modest beginning bloomed into 8 campuses with 16 constituent schools across India. When Amrita became a “deemed-to-be-university” in January 2003, it was the youngest group of institutions to be conferred this status.
